Ten Scenic spots of Sanqing Mountain


	Spring Goddess As a symbolic scenic spot of San-tsing Mountain, the Spring Goddess is located in the north east part of Nanqing Garden. It is 1180 meters above sea level with a height of 86 meters. The shape of the whole stone is like a young lady with her hair reaching her shoulder. The goddess have sat on the top of the peak watching all mortal beings silently and kindly for billions of years.According to the popular legend, the goddess named Yao Ji is the 23rd daughter of the Queen Mother of the West. She was believed to be the embodiment of spring, so she was called “Spring Goddess”.
	Python going out of Mountain As a symbol scenic spot of San-tsing Mountain, Python going out of Mountain is located in the north part of Nanqing Garden. It is more than 1200 meters above sea level with a height of 128 meters. It is a huge granite stone pillar formed by weathering and gravitational force. Althorgh there are several cracks in its body, it still keep standing like a giant after billions of years of wind and rain. The top of it is flat and it is very thin in the neck with a diameter of only seven meters. It looks exactly like a python Coming out of mountain and soaring to the sky.
	Monkey King presenting a treasure Monkey king presenting a treasure is located in the north-west part of the West Coast scenic area. The Monkey King is seven meters high, sitting on the cliff with a treasure in hands. It looks charmingly na?ve if looked carefully.
	Jade Maiden opening Arms Jade Maiden opening Arms is located in the Nanqing Garden. This scenic spot is the symbol of purity and beautiful. It is very rare for solid rock to present a well filled-out figure.
	Taoist priest worshipping the Moon Taoist priest worshipping the Moon is located in the Longevity Garden. If you enjoy it near the Sun Rising Mountain Villa, you will find that it looks like a old Taoist priest looking into the sky seriously. Every time when the moon is round, the old Taoist priest worships the moon piously. If visitors watch it ,they will feel quiet.
	Guanyin enjoy Music Guanyin enjoying Music is located among Peak Group in the South Gate to Heaven. It is formed of two peaks, one of which is Guanyin and the other of which is Ge Hong. It is said that during Jing dynasty, Ge Hong poured out his heart to heaven with a Pipa because of hardships of the people. The music moved the heaven court, so Guanyin descended to the world and listened to him. This one is also one of the three Guanyin image of Buddaha.
	Ge Hong presenting pills Ge Hong presenting pills is located in the Nanqing Scenic area. As one of founders of Taoism Danding sect, Ge Hong was respected very much in the mountain. Between the year of 357 and 361, Ge Hong roamed about San-tsing Mountain and cultivated himself there. The remains of his making pills of immortality were left in the place of perfect happiness up to now. The top of the peak looks exactly like a Taoist priest holding a medicine gourd, so people call it Ge Hong to commemorate the founder of Taoism in the mountain.
	Immortal dragon playing with pine It is located below the Road leading to Heaven in Nanqing Garden scenic area. There is a long snake sticking to the cliff and fixing its eyes on a pine on the top of the mountain. It seems like playing with the pine or planning some scheme. As popular legend says, this snake stayed here because it wanted to enter the South Gate to Heaven by chance. But it was discovered by a roc which gourd the gate. So it stayed here waiting for better chance.
	Three dragons coming out of sea Three dragons coming out of Sea is located in Nanqing Garden scenic area. The best place to enjoy it in at the top of Yuhuang Peak. The three peaks which are peculiarly shaped look like three dragons jumping out of the valley and flying into the sky.
	Yulin TemplePulao crying to sky It's former name is Sea lion swallowing the Moon located in the Longevity Garden scenic area. As the legend says, Pulao is one of the nine sons of dragon. Because it likes crying, it was respected as a lucky animal. This peak looks the same as real sea lion and agrees with the theme of lucky and long life.
